Epic riders + epic conditions = epic event

Wave Classic Moulay Bouzerktoune was born from the passion of a few people fascinated about this incredible place and its people.

It has been more than 30 years since a few people ventured into this area in search of the best waves, letting themselves be carried away by the trade winds until they found this spot on the coast.

Originally one of the first events to be held at this spot was the Trilogy, an event like no other, with incredible riders looking for the best spots in the world. Cherry on the cake was 2018 final with a win of Antoine Martin over Boujmaa and Morgan in the over mast high waves.

As the years went by and no other events came to fruition in the spot, a small group of us decided to put our hands to make the first event in 2023, being a total success and recovering the spirit of the purest windsurfing.

Our entire organisation is made up of people who are not looking for any kind of profit from this event. We are proud to say that this event is not for profit.

  1. 2018

    The Epic Final

    Antoine Martin wins over Boujmaa and Morgan in over mast high waves at the WWT event, showcasing the world-class potential of Moulay.
  2. 2023

    Wave Classic Moulay Bouzerktoune Born

    First edition of Wave Classic Moulay Bouzerktoune - a total success recovering the spirit of pure windsurfing with riders from around the world.
  3. 2024

    Wave Classic 2024

    The second edition, a year after the first: riders back on the beach in Moulay for another week of waves.
  4. 2025

    Wave Classic 2025

    78 riders across five divisions. Titouan Flechet won the men's final and Svenja Chudoba the women's.
  5. 2026

    Wave Classic 2026

    Riders from around the world back in Moulay for another week of pure wave sailing, with every heat followed live on Liveheats.

By air

Direct flights to Essaouira airport - 15 min from city, 30 min from Moulay.

Connections from Madrid, Brussels, London, Marseille and more.

Marrakesh and Agadir airports are 2.5 hours away.

By car or van

Ferry from Algeciras/Tarifa to Tanger Med - fastest and cheapest option.

Route: Rabat → Casablanca → El Jadida → Safi → Moulay (100km coast road).

Safest and quickest way with less traffic.
